Over 29,000 Vacancies Filled in Jammu and Kashmir Post Article 370 Abrogation, says Union Minister
In a recent statement, Union Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai, revealed that Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a significant recruitment drive after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. The government of Jammu and Kashmir has filled 29,295 vacancies, with 7,924 vacancies advertised and examinations conducted for 2,504 positions.
Qouting by KNO,The recruitment process is an ongoing and continuous effort, with the government focused on identifying vacancies and conducting an accelerated recruitment drive. Additionally, various governance reforms have been implemented, especially in the area of recruitment, to streamline the process and bring more opportunities to the region.

Furthermore, to combat unemployment, the government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken initiatives to promote self-employment through different departments. Schemes providing subsidised loans for establishing sustainable income generation units have been introduced to empower the youth economically.
