4.9 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Jammu & Kashmir (Representative image)
Srinagar: A 4.9 magnitude earthquake hit Monday, sending tremors across the region. The earthquake occurred at 5:38 am in Jammu and Kashmir early morning on Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, as per the National Center for Seismology.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:4.9, Occurred on 10-07-2023, 05:38:54 IST, Lat: 33.15 & Long: 75.68, Depth: 10 Km,Region: Doda, Jammu and Kashmir,” tweeted the National Center for Seismology.
Two back to back earthquakes with 5.4 & 4.2 magnitude Earthquake jolts Kishtwar, Doda and areas of Himachal Pradesh. The first earthquake of 5.4 magnitude with epicentre of the earthquake is 16 Km from Padder area of Kishtwar District on Kishtwar-Himachal Border felt at 5.38 am followed by another earthquake of 4.2 magnitude at 5.43 am with 6 KM epicentre from Kishtwar town.
