Summer Vacations Announced for District Courts in Jammu Province: Srinagar, May 19, 2025 — The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has officially announced the schedule for summer vacations for district courts located in the summer zone of Jammu province.
According to the notification issued by the Registrar General at Srinagar, the district courts (except those in Kishtwar, Doda, Batote, Gool, Banihal, Ukhral, and Bani) will observe 15 days of summer break from June 9 to June 23, 2025 (both days inclusive).
During this vacation period, the Principal District and Sessions Judges along with Chief Judicial Magistrates of the respective districts are directed to ensure that necessary arrangements are made to handle urgent criminal matters. This step is to make sure that critical legal processes continue smoothly even during the holidays.
The decision aims to provide some relief during the hot summer season while maintaining essential judicial services for urgent cases.
