Schools and Colleges to Remain Closed in Several Areas of Kashmir on May 08 as Precautionary Measure: Srinagar, May 07: In light of the prevailing situation in the region, authorities have ordered the closure of all educational institutions in multiple areas of Kashmir for Wednesday, May 08.
According to an official statement from Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, all schools, colleges, and other educational institutions in Baramulla, Kupwara, and Gurez will remain closed as a precautionary measure.
The directive also extends to schools located in and around Awantipora and Srinagar Airport, which will also remain shut for the day.
While specific details about the situation prompting the closures have not been officially disclosed, the administration emphasized that the move is aimed at ensuring the safety of students and staff.
