J&K Government Simplifies Recruitment Process: Jammu, February 14, 2025: In a major relief for job seekers, the Jammu and Kashmir government has scrapped interviews for various posts across multiple departments. From now on, candidates will be selected purely based on their performance in written exams, making the recruitment process more transparent and fair.

This decision, announced by the Lieutenant Governor through a fresh notification (S.O. 36), ensures that only trade or skill tests, where necessary, will be conducted. However, this rule won’t apply to posts already advertised by the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB).

  • Staff Nurse
  • Assistant Scientific Officer (Chemistry and Toxicology)
  • Junior Engineer (Civil and Electrical)
  • Naib Tehsildar
  • Technical Assistant
  • Senior Craft Instructors (in various crafts)
  • Assistant Handicrafts Training Officer
  • Mechanic and Stores Officer (Transport Department)
