Winter Vacation Extended: Schools in Kashmir & Winter Zone Jammu to Reopen on March 7, 2025: J&K Government Extends Winter Vacation for Schools Until March 6, 2025 Schools in Kashmir Division and Winter Zones of Jammu Division to Reopen on March 7, 2025
Jammu & Kashmir, Civil Secretariat – The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has officially extended the winter vacation for all government and private schools up to the higher secondary level in the Kashmir Division and winter zones of the Jammu Division.

As per Government Order No. 168-JK (Edu) of 2025, dated 08.02.2025, the schools, which were initially set to reopen on March 1, 2025, will now resume classes on March 7, 2025. This decision follows the previous vacation order (No. 521-JK(Edu) of 2024, dated 06.12.2024) and has been taken in view of the prevailing weather conditions in the region.
The order was issued by Shantmanu, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), School Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir.
