Whereas, the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB), vide Notification No. 01- Selection of 2024 dated 8th of January, 2024, issued under endorsement No. JKSSB- Scry/26/2023-03(E-7376857), notified the Final Selection List for the posts of Sub-Inspector, Police (Home Department), advertised vide Notification No. 06 of 2021 dated 21.10.2021 and Notice No. SSB/Secy//2021/7926-42 dated 24.11.2021; and

Whereas, in the aforesaid Selection List, 98 posts were kept Reserved which, among others, included the candidature of 69 candidates who were required to undergo Medical Examination (34 candidates) and Appeal before the Appellate Medical Boards (35 candidates); and

Whereas, vide Notice No. JKSSB-Scry/26/2023-03(E-7376857) dated 09.01.2023 and letter No. JKSSB-Scry/26/2023-03 (E-7376857) dated 10.01.2024, the 69 candidates were referred to the respective Appellate/Medical Boards for undergoing their medical examination; and

Whereas, two candidates in respect to whom the posts were kept reserved due to deficient documents, have also submitted the requisite documents; and

Whereas, upon receipt of satisfactory medical reports in respect of these candidates and requisite documents, the matter was placed before the Board in its 256th meeting, which after deliberations and consideration of the matter, decided to fill up the reserved posts by considering the candidature of the candidates having been declared as fit by the respective Appellate/Medical Board. The Board also decided that two candidates, among those kept reserved on account of deficient documents, shall also be considered for selection and recommended to the concerned Indenting Department, while one ESM candidate shall be detailed for medical examination, on account of fulfilling the deficiency.

Now, therefore, it is hereby notified that:

(i) The candidates figuring in Annexure-A shall figure against the reserved posts (at the serial as indicated against each) in the Final Selection List notified for the posts of Sub-Inspector, Police (Home Department), UT Cadre, advertised vide Notification No of 2021 dated 21.10.2021, read with Notice No. SSB/Secy//2021/7926-42 dated 24.11.2021.

(ii) The candidate, figuring in Annexure-B, shall report to the Government Medical College, Jammu w.e.f. 05.02.2024 to 06.02.2024, for his Medical Examination. He shall also produce his Discharge Book before the Medical Board. However, mere calling for medical examination shall not confer any right to final selection to him.

It is further notified that the above shall be subject to outcome of the OAs/Writ Petition(s), if any, pending adjudication before any Competent Court of law and shall also be subject to the outcome of any pending enquiry, involving candidate(s). Furthermore, the Selection of the candidates has been made on the basis of Self- declaration/Certificates submitted by them and if at any stage, it comes to the light that any candidate(s) has submitted false information or has secured selection on the basis of fake documents/certificates, the selection shall be liable to cancellation at any stage.
