JKPSC Issues Provisional Select List for Horticulture Development Officer Posts: Dated: April 9, 2025 | Source: JKPSC Official Notification The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released the Provisional Select List for the post of Horticulture Development Officer in the Agriculture Production Department (Horticulture). The notification, numbered 55-PSC (DR-S) of 2025, was officially issued on April 9, 2025.
Overview of the Recruitment Process
A total of 41 posts were referred to JKPSC by the Agriculture Production Department (Horticulture), categorized as follows:
- Open Merit (OM): 20
- RBA: 04
- SC: 04
- ST: 04
- ALC/IB: 02
- SLC: 01
- PSP: 02
- EWS: 04
The recruitment process commenced with the advertisement issued under Notification No. 29-PSC (DR-P) of 2023 dated June 9, 2023. A written examination was conducted on May 29, 2023, and the results were declared on July 29, 2024, later revised on October 10, 2024, following the rules of JKPSC.
A total of 111 candidates were initially called for interviews, with an additional 7 candidates included based on a directive by the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Jammu. The interviews took place from March 4 to March 10, 2025, assisted by subject experts.
Final Selection
Based on combined performance in the written test and viva-voce, the Provisional Select List has been published as Annexure-B to the notification.

Important Notes:
- 04 EWS posts and 01 PSP post remain unfilled. Candidates next in merit may be called for interviews against these vacancies.
- The selection is purely provisional, subject to document verification and the outcome of pending court cases.
- Candidates with objections must submit their grievances to the Commission within five days from the date of the notification.
