Extension Of Last Date 

It is hereby notified for information of all such eligible candidates who are interested for admission to the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Courses-2023 in Government / Private Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K/ UT of Ladakh, that the JKBOPEE Board has extended the last date for submission of online Application Forms from 15-06-2023 to 25-06-2023 (mid-night).

JKBOPEE Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Courses-2023 will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Test  for admission  into Post Basic BSc Nursing course 2023.

Post Basic BSc Nursing Overview

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course 2023 is an undergraduate degree course. This course is for  2 years. Students can apply for the Post Basic BSc Nursing degree programme after they have completed 10+2 level in Science stream and have a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) along with registration under Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM). Aspirants must note that they have to secure at least 45% to 50% in their 10+2 level in order to be eligible for the Post Basic Nursing admission process.

Date of Common Entrance Test

JKBOPEE Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Courses-2023 will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Test conducted by Board i.e J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) Common Entrance Test will be conducted in due course of time.

Centre for Conduct of Examination

The Common Entrance Examination shall be conducted Offline at Jammu/Srinagar centers simultaneously as may be decided by the Board (JKBOPEE).

Eligibility for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme

A candidate must be:

  • a Domicile of UT J&K/Ladakh
  •  have passed 10+2 or Equivalent Examination from a Recognized Board and have obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Examination and Registered as R.N.R.M. with J&K Paramedical Nursing Council. 
  • medically fit.

 Medical Surgical Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 45

  •  Medical Surgical Nursing-I 15 marks
  • Medical Surgical Nursing-II 15 marks
  • Anatomy and Physiology 07 marks
  •  Pathophysiology & Microbiology 08 marks

Medical Health Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 20

  •  Mental Health Nursing 10 marks
  •  Psychology 05 marks
  •  Sociology 05 marks

 Child Health Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 12

  • Child Health Nursing 10 marks
  • Nutrition 02 marks

 Midwifery & Gynaecological Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 17

  •  Midwifery & Gynaecological Nursing 10 marks
  • Fundamental of Nursing 07 marks

 Community Health Nursing (with distribution as given below): Marks= 26

  • Community Health Nursing-1 03 marks
  •  Community Health Nursing-II 10 marks
  •  First Aid 08 marks
  • Environmental Sanitation & Communicable diseases 03 marks
  • Health Education and Communication skills 02 marks

 The paper shall contain 120 questions 

comprising different sections. 

Submission of Online Application Forms

The interested candidates are required to upload the following documents along with the Application Form

  • Domicile Certificate
  • 12th Class Marks Card 
  • DOB Certificate (only Matriculation Certificate issued by the Board)
  •  All GNM Marks Cards;
  • Valid Reserved Category Certificate, if any;
  • Any other documents, as may be required.

Documents required at the time of Admission

  •  All Result  of the GNM Course
  •  Marks Card of 12th Class;
  • DOB Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate
  •  Category Certificate
  • Registration Certificate issued by J&K Paramedical Council;
  • Any other document as may be required by the Institution.

75000/- per year

Declaration Of Result

 After the conclusion of Entrance Test, the answer key shall be displayed on the BOPEE website in the evening of the date of conduct of Entrance Examination of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Courses -2023 or up to 12 noon on next day and shall remain on website for three days so that a candidate finding any discrepancy in the Question Paper and Answer Key can submit representation along with proper proof from standard text book within three working days after the test is over in the BOPEE’s office at Srinagar or Jammu accompanied with the payment receipt of Rs. 1000/- per representation per paper paid by him or her at the POS terminal at J&K BOPEE office Jammu/Srinagar.
