J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2024: Important Notice for Candidates: Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has officially announced the schedule for the J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2024. The exam is set to take place on February 23, 2025 (Sunday), in two sessions:
- Forenoon Session: 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
- Afternoon Session: 02:00 PM – 04:00 PM
J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2024: Important Notice for Candidates: Admit Card Download Details
Candidates can download their Admit Cards from the JKPSC official website (www.jkpsc.nic.in) starting from February 15, 2025 (Saturday). Follow these steps to download:
- 1. Login to your JKPSC account using your credentials.
- 2. Click on the “Admit Card” menu.
- 3. Click on “Get Admit Card” to download it.
- 4. Take a printout of the Admit Card.
If a candidate is unable to download the Admit Card, they must contact the Commission by or before February 19, 2025 (Wednesday) with valid proof of online application and fee payment. Failure to do so will result in the assumption that the candidate is not interested in appearing for the exam.
J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2024: Important Notice for Candidates: Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates must strictly adhere to the following guidelines on the day of the exam:
- Reporting Time: Due to multi-tier security checks, candidates must reach the exam venue by 08:00 AM for GS-I and by 01:00 PM for GS-II.
- Entry Closure: Gates will be closed 30 minutes before the exam begins.
- Seating Arrangement: Candidates should be seated at least 20 minutes before the start of the exam.
- Mandatory Documents: Carry a printed Admit Card and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, or Passport).
- Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, and any unauthorized material are strictly prohibited. Possession of such items may lead to disqualification.

- Two Papers – General Studies I & General Studies II
- Each paper consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
- Total marks: 200 per paper
- Duration: 2 hours per paper
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination-2024: Important Notice for Candidates: Additional Instructions
- Candidates must bring their own black/blue ballpoint pens. Borrowing of stationery inside the exam hall is not allowed.
- Once inside, candidates cannot leave the examination hall until the full time has elapsed.
- Any discrepancy in the test booklet should be reported within three days after the exam.
- Candidates should check weather and traffic conditions before leaving for the exam venue to avoid delays.
