It is for the information of all concerned that the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu will fill up few vacant seats in B.Tech (Civil Engineering) and B.Tech (Computer Science Engineering) through Spot Counseling on September 12, 2023 (Tuesday) as per the schedule notified below.
The Office of University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu will display the vacancies on the notice board of UIET and also on the UIET website (www.uietju.in) for the information of all concerned on 11/09/2023 (Monday).
The applicants are advised to report at the Office of UIET, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu at 10:00 a.m on September 12, 2023 (Tuesday) to appear in Spot Counselling. These applicants have to submit the filled application form along with the photocopies of all relevant documents. The selected candidates shall be required to produce the original documents for verification and deposit the requisite registration fee of Rs. 1500/- along with the admission fee of Rs. 41,700/- either as demand draft in favour of Coordinator UIET, University of Jammu payable at Patel Nagar, Kathua or through POS machine available at the Office of UIET on the same date.
Admission shall be made purely on the basis of merit among the applicants who will be available on the day of counseling. The first preference will be given to the candidates appeared in JEE Mains and for the left-over seats, 10+2 merit of the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 examination shall be considered.

The University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) was established by the University of Jammu in 2017 as a ‘Centre of Excellence to provide quality education in Engineering & Technology.
The First Academic Session for B.Tech. programme in UIET started in 2017 under the centrally sponsored Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) with two streams in Engineering i.e. Civil Engineering (C.E.) and Computer Science Engineering (C.S.E.) with an intake of 60 in each stream.
