The investigation, spanning multiple states, has uncovered a complex web of collusion involving 15 accused individuals, including former Assistant Sub Inspector of J&K Police, former Head Constable/Constable of CRPF, a Sepoy of the Army, a teacher, and private persons.

Allegations surfaced regarding a conspiracy where a private individual, in cahoots with others, allegedly orchestrated the theft of the question paper from the printing press. This stolen material was then disseminated to the private individual who, in turn, engaged other accused parties to facilitate the sale of the leaked question paper to aspiring candidates. The modus operandi included transporting candidates to Panchkula, providing them with leaked question papers in exchange for monetary compensation, via tempo travelers and taxis.

The investigation delved deep into scrutinizing voluminous technical data, bank accounts, toll data, and entailed the examination of over 100 witnesses.

The culmination of the investigation resulted in the filing of a chargesheet against the accused individuals. However, it is important to note that as per Indian law, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a fair trial.

The CBI’s comprehensive probe underscores its commitment to upholding the integrity of examinations and ensuring justice prevails in cases of alleged malpractice and irregularities.
