Applications are invited for admission to B.Tech Programmes for the Academic Session 2023-24, UIET Kathua, University of Jammu, Jammu.

  • 60 seats in each stream.

 

Number & Distribution:

The distribution of seats (open and reserved categories) will be notified as soon as approved by the competent authority. Not with standing anything contrary contained in any law, S.R.O, or regulation enforced in the UT, seats under achievement criteria shall be filled up in accordance with the latest criteria/norms of the University of Jammu.

 

Note: All Seats in the reserved categories as well as general terms and conditions for admission in the B. Tech. Programmes shall be governed under the statutes and general guidelines of the University of Jammu.

 

Eligibility: 

Having Passed Hr. Sec. Part II (10+2) with 50% (General Candidates) and 45% for the reserved categories from J&K Board of School education or any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

 

Selection Criteria:

Admission to the B. Tech. Programmes for the Academic Session 2023-24 shall be made on the basis of :-

  1. i) 10+2 Merit Basis.
  2. ii) If seats remain vacant, University of Jammu shall conduct a test to admit the candidates against the remaining vacant seats.

 

Note:-

  1. 90% of the seats (out of 60 seats in each stream) shall be reserved for the students who belong to Hr. Sec. (10+2) schools falling within the jurisdiction of University of Jammu while 10% shall be open to all including the candidates who belong to other regions of the UT/Country. However, in case the seat/seats remains/remain vacant out of 90% quota for within University of Jammu jurisdiction candidates, the same shall be offered to the candidates from other part of the UT/Country.

 

Guidelines for submission of the online Application forms:

The Candidates are advised to follow the steps for filling up their application form as uploaded onthewebsite: www.uietju.in

Candidates are required to pay the requisite fee of Rs. 1500/- (with late fee) through online mode (Internet banking,NEFT,mPay etc.)or offline mode at any of the Branch of the Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd. nearest to him/her in the Account with following details:-

On payment of the requisite fee through the above said modes the candidates are required to submit the scanned copy of the application form (along with the mentioned documents) through E-mail at [email protected] following procedure:-

 

Submission of downloaded Application Form along with documents (scanned Copy):

 After filling the application form candidates have to make a single PDF file of the form along with all the relevant documents as mentioned in the notification and submit the application form through E-mail at [email protected].

 Candidate has to mention his Name, Parentage, Name of the Board, 10+2 Marks& percentage and contact no. in the E-mail and then attach the PDF file of the application form(along with the mentioned documents). Only applications through mail will be entertained and other mode of application will not be entertained.

The candidate after submitting their application form along with scanned documents and payment receipt through E-mail at [email protected] in a single PDF file must get a printout and keep in their own custody, in case they fall in the merit and are considered for admission, they shall be required to submit 3 sets of the self-attested copies of the mentioned documents in the office of the Coordinator, UIET, Janglote, Kathua.

Candidates are informed to carry their original documents with them at the time of admission for verification purpose.

 

Note: 

  1. i) An application shall be rejected if the payment is not deposited through online mode / offline mode within the specified time period. 
  2. ii) The candidates should bring the original copy of the Payment slip in case of offline mode or print out of the screen short of the payment in case of online mode at the time of admission.

iii) The Selected candidates will be required to deposit the admission fee in the form of demand draft favoring Coordinator, UIET, University of Jammu/Online mode of payment/ POS machine is also available in the office of the UIET.

Documents to be uploaded along with the application form (in a Single PDF only):

 Scanned copy of 10+2 Mark Sheet.

 Category Certificate (if applicable). The candidates who are interested to apply under reserved categories other than Achievement Category are required to follow the procedure as laid down by the University of Jammu. 

 The candidates who want to apply under achievement categories are required to follow the process as laid down by the University of Jammu.

 Scanned copy of the Payment slip in case of offline mode or screen short of the payment in case of online mode.

 

Note: The candidate needs to enclose the following certificate/document along with the achievement category certificate in order for consideration of the claim under achievement category.

(a) Date of birth certificate.

(b) Copy of Domicile/State Subject, if applicable. 

(c) Copies of marks sheets of qualifying examinations.

These documents are to be submitted in the office of the UIET.

10th and 12th Mark Sheets

 10th and 12th Passing Certificate

 Provisional cum Character Certificate (original)

 Migration Certificate (if applicable)

 JEE Main Score Card of 2021.

 Category Certificate (if applicable). The candidates who are interested to apply under. reserved categories other than Achievement Category are required to follow the procedure as laid down by the University of Jammu. 

 Date of birth certificate.

 Copy of Domicile(if applicable).

 An Affidavit, the format of which shall be available at the time of admission.

 4 Latest Passport size color Photographs.

Important Instructions to fill Application Form for admission in B.Tech. Programmes (CSE & Civil) of the University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET), Janglote, Kathua

  1. Application form along with all other relevant details are available on the website of Kathua Campus http://www.uietju.in
  2. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully before filling up the application form.
  3. Submission of application can only be made through E-mail at [email protected] Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form.
  4. Candidates can download the application form from the website (www.uietju.in).
  5. Take print out of the application form and fill it properly and accurately in capital letters.
  6. Candidates may please note that changes are not allowed in the application, once it is submitted. It is also advised that the working Email-id and Contact number must be provided for future correspondences. 
  7. Candidate has to pay fee in online/offline mode as per the details mentioned in the admission notification.
  8. After filling the application form candidate has to convert the application form along with all the relevant documents and proof of the payment (as mentioned in the admission notification) in a single PDF format only.
  9. The size of PDF file should notexceed 5MB.
  10. Thereafter the candidate has to submit the PDF copy of the complete application form along with relevant documents through E-mail at [email protected]
  11. Candidate has to write his Name, Parentage, Name of the Board, 10+2 Marks, 10+2 Marks Sheet and Contact no. in the E-mail and attached the PDF file of the application form.
  12. An acknowledgement shall be sent to the candidate on the mail id from which the form has been submitted as proof that his application form has been received by the office of the UIET.
  13. Candidate must note that he/she shall be allotted seat in preference 1 if his/her merit falls under merit in preference 1 and he/she shall be considered for preference 2 only if his/her merit does not fall under preference 1.
  14. Mere submission of application form shall not guarantee the admission of the candidate to the UIET.
