New School Timings Announced for Kashmir Division from May 26, 2025: Directorate of School Education Kashmir Issues Fresh Guidelines Srinagar, May 22, 2025 — The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has officially announced a change in school timings across the Kashmir Division, effective from Monday, May 26, 2025. The new schedule applies to both Government and recognized Private Schools.
According to Order No. 139-DSEK of 2025, the school timings have been adjusted based on location:
- Schools within Srinagar Municipal Limits:
8:30 AM to 2:30 PM - Schools outside Srinagar Municipal Limits and in other areas of Kashmir Division:
9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
The directive aims to streamline the academic routine and ensure better management of school hours as the season changes. Authorities have emphasized that strict compliance with the revised timings is expected from all educational institutions. Any deviation from the order will be “viewed seriously.”
The Directorate has also requested widespread media coverage to ensure that students, parents, and school administrations are well-informed.
