CUET-UG Likely To Be Postponed, Fresh Dates To Be Announced Soon
CUET-UG 2025 Postponed: Exams to Start from May 13, Confirms NTA Sources: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate programmes (CUET-UG) 2025, originally scheduled to commence on May 8. The examination will now begin on May 13, 2025, due to logistical challenges and delays in releasing exam-related information.
This delay affects over 13.5 lakh students who have registered for the exam, leading to widespread uncertainty regarding exam centers and schedules. The NTA has yet to release official city intimation slips and detailed timetables, which are crucial for candidates to make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements.
The CUET-UG 2025 will be conducted entirely in computer-based test (CBT) mode across 37 subjects. Each subject paper will last 60 minutes and consist of 50 multiple-choice questions. Exams are expected to be held in two to three shifts per day, depending on the availability of centers.
The NTA is expected to release the revised exam schedule, city intimation slips, and admit cards soon. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in, for the latest updates.
The CUET-UG serves as a single-window examination for admission to undergraduate programs in over 250 universities, including prominent central universities like Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, and Jawaharlal Nehru University.
This postponement may impact the undergraduate admission process and academic calendars of participating universities. Students and parents are urged to stay informed through official channels to avoid misinformation.
