JKSSB Announces 508 Junior Engineer (Civil) Posts Download PDF : The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has opened 508 fresh vacancies for Junior Engineer (Civil) positions across two key infrastructure wings of the UT—Public Works Department (R&B) and Jal Shakti Department. Online applications go live on 5 May 2025 and close on 3 June 2025.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination – 120‑mark objective test (2 hrs).
    • Civil Engineering syllabus: Surveying, Building Materials, RCC & Steel, Hydraulics, Estimation, Environmental Engineering, etc. (detailed in Annexure‑D).
  2. Document Verification – originals & Xerox copies of certificates.
  3. Merit List – prepared department‑wise on the basis of written‑exam score.

No interview or viva‑voce in line with JKSSB’s “written‑test‑only” policy.

How to Apply

  1. Visit jkssb.nic.in → “One Time Registration” (OTR) or log in if already registered.
  2. Click “Apply” under Adv. Notification 03 of 2025 – JE (Civil).
  3. Fill form, upload recent passport photograph, signature & diploma certificate.
  4. Pay examination fee (₹550 for General, ₹450 for SC/ST/PwBD/EWS) via online payment gateway.
  5. Submit and print application for future reference.

Note: PwBD candidates who need a scribe must upload Annexure‑B (doctor’s certificate) and Annexure‑C (scribe undertaking).
